Joint ArthroplastyTotal Joint Arthroplasty in Cabo San Lucas Our facilities are fully equipped to perform primary total joint arthroplasty (TJA) of the knee, hip and shoulder. We also perform revision shoulder replacement surgery. In addition to TJA, we can perform arthroscopies of the wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee and ankle. Many insurance companies will not cover a TJA as an elective surgery. While the price varies greatly among hospitals in the United States, the average cost of a TJA is roughly $45,000. At AmeriMed, we are able to offer TJA at 40% - 50% of the cost of the same surgery in the United States. The Orthopaedics Team at AmeriMed is leaded by Dr. Javier Escamilla, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He is a member of the Mexican Council of Orthopaedics and Traumatology as well as an International Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
